gestalten is an internationally renowned publishing house celebrated for its exceptional illustrated books. Our diverse content covers architecture, art and design, fashion and lifestyle, cuisine, travel, and adventure. Founded in Berlin in 1995, our mission has been to inspire creative lives. We achieve this by collaborating with pioneers who ignite creativity, showcasing innovative projects, and exploring relevant topics. Our publications are not only visually stunning but also crafted with high-quality and sustainable practices. Since 2014, we have also included a dedicated children’s book segment that captivates and inspires young readers.

With approximately 700 titles, we are a leading international publisher of illustrated books. Our team of over 30 dedicated professionals manages every aspect of our publications, from initial concept through editorial development, editing, translation, design, layout, printing, marketing, and worldwide distribution.
